NETraditional lesson

NETraditional lesson was the main accent of Safer Internet Day 2014. This year was decided to focus on 9 - 13 years old students because of the lack of resources applicable for this age group. The host of SID event was well-known journalist, TV host Ignas Krupavičius. At the beginning of NETraditional lesson he well-kept the secret about “teacher” of the lesson– without any doubt we can admit, that everyone was stunned when “teacher” – famous singer and TV host - Marijonas Mikutavičius showed up. He interviewed guests of the lesson: Olympic Champion, athlete Virgilijus Alekna, singer Donatas Montvydas, journalist Vytaras Radzevičius, police cynologues, who were accompanied by their pet Jola. Famous people shared their opinions, experiences, advices with all the viewers. They presented 4 different online issues – online safety, copyright safety, cyberbullying and gaming.

The comics’ competition, which has already become a tradition, this year, was very successful, large-scale and creative contest. Students created comics under the slogan “Let’s Create Better Internet Together!” using various interactive tools (drawing, apps etc.). Look at the short movie which is created by hand-drawn and turned into movie with “Windows Movie Maker”. The movie is created by 13-years-old Rusnė Dragūnevičiūtė.
