What is it?What is it?“Safer Internet” is a programme of the European Commission (EC) Information Society and Media Directorate-General which has been implemented since 1999 in most EU countries. In 2005, the programme was started in Lithuania by the company Bitė Lietuva, the Ministry of Education and Science, and Social and Psychological Service Centre which won the tender announced by the EC. From the April of 2007 the program has been implemented by the Communications Regulatory Authority of the Republic of Lithuania (RRT) and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania (MES). From the April of 2009 the program is continuing to be implemented by the Communications Regulatory Authority of the Republic of Lithuania (RRT) and the Centre of Information Technology of Education (CITE). The project SIC LT II is a continuation of the Safer Internet LT SIC project, which has been implemented in 2011-2012 in Lithuania. See more...
